We use it to maintain info about changes to the code over time (since 1995). When it asks about cvs just hit Carriage return ("Enter") and go on. install.pl is actually a long series of just hit Enter and go on in many cases.<br></div><div><br></div><div>install.pl prompts you about printers but you can continue without entering any. All AIPS tasks that use printers can also write to disk files with standard PostScript (LWPLA for plots) or plain text (any task with adverbs OUTPRINT and DOCRT).<br></div><div><br></div>
