Dear colleague, <br /><br />we are testing DTSIM for simulating polarisation data where stations have non-zero and occasionally high Dterms. We are using DTSIM for proposal preparation, but also in view of high frequency VLBI with new stations, which do not all have very small D-terms (eg. ALMA, the LMT or the new Greenland Telescope).<br /><br />In this context I have 2 questions. A simple one and or more complicated one.<br /><br />1. Can you please confirm that for non-zero station D-terms the visibilities are altered in the correct way. Is there any assumption that the D-terms should be low (like it is assumed in LPCAL)? I used VPLOT to check if the RL/LL ratio depends on the Dterm, which was entered. I verified that non-zero Dterms have an effect on the data, which is good. At this point I wonder if there is some knowledge (or document) about possible approximations when calculating the antenna cross-talk. <br /><br />2. Would it be possible to add the Nasmyth mount-type to DTSIM. Several of the newer GMVA/EHT VLBI stations have a Nasmyth mount. The Nasmuth mounts were already implemended in AIPS some years ago (e.g.  Mount=NS-R has mount type code 4 and Mount=NS-L has mount type code 5). So it would be really great if DTSIM would know them.<br /><br />Thanks a lot,<br /><br />                      Thomas
