this issue?</p>

<p style="margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0">It was suggested by Bryan and Eric that I contact this address for AIPS installation queries.

<p style="margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0">I'm using the wizard to install the 2017 version from binaries using the command;</p>
<p style="margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0">perl ./install.pl -n . <br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0">The installation appears to have been successful with no error messages flagged throughout.

<p style="margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0">However, when I attempt to run AIPS from the host machine chosen in the installation wizard, as the account which performed the installation, I get the following messages.

The '?' is not a typo and is present at this point. Here I have tried numbers 1-6, 0 and the magic number, which all lead to the following message.<br>

Please type 'yes' or 'no':<br>
<br>
However typing either yes or no causes the program to loop back to asking for an AIPS ID number.<br>
<br>
Is there anything you can advise here?<br>
