Dear Erick,<br /><br />Many thanks for looking into this issue.Yes, as you can also see from the attached table, except AA, the numbers from 2 to 8 are ot always assigned to the same antenna for the 6 files.  <br /><br />It is not clear to me which one of six files caused the problem, maybe the sixth? In any case, concatenating without the file that caused the problem will make data loss. Here I just used 6 file for testing, and actually we have like 30 files for a track and in toal we have more than a hundered of files. Identifyiing the problematic files will be very time consuming and also it will lead to a singificant data loss. Similarily, loading data individually using ANTNAME and combine them within AIPS will not be a simple task for a couple of tenth of fits files, I guess. <br /><br />The thing that I don't quite understand is that the second file assigned the 4th antenna to LM, which is already different than the 4th antenna (JC) in the first file, but why FITLD started to complain several files after this  (when loading the 6th file)?.<br /><br />I have no idea about the difference in FITLD between the two versions except the ANTNAME you mentioned when doconcat is true. Are there fundamental differences in handling the assignment of station numbers in the two FITLDs?  <br /><br />Thanks,<br />Rusen<br /><br />
