I was fooled by assuming that the FITS file I was reading<br />was a FITS idi file.  It was not and all adverbs from CLINT<br />down apply only to FITS idi files.  When I tested the BIF/EIF<br />option on a real FITS idi file, the option worked and did not<br />make a 2 IF output.  Is it possible that you are making a<br />similar mistake?  But then I would expect your 2 files to be<br />the same, not just the first with 2 IFs...<br /><br />In any case, UVCOP is the tool to get rid of unwanted IFs.<br /><br />Eric Greisen<br />
