  I did look at the code briefly, but I couldn't figure out what it was<br />
doing either.  I think maybe it does an analytical solution for the<br />
crossing of ellipses and then looks for visibility data near there<br />
those points or something.  I think I would have just gridded the<br />
uv-plane and looked for ones that fall into the same cell<br />
<br />
  Anyway, I was just trying it because I'd run out of other ideas,<br />
and its probably not going to solve the problem I'm after, so<br />
its not a high priority.<br />
