You are attempting to use shared memory which cannot work across<br />a remote connection.  See HELP XAS (inside AIPS) for information<br />about how to turn this option off using the .Xdefaults file.  Normally<br />one has such a file (or can create it) in your home area.  After editing it<br />you get the machine to change its X settings with<br />       xrdb -merge $HOME/.Xdefaults<br />The line you want in .Xdefaults is<br /><br />AIPStv*useSharedMemory: 0<br /><br /><br />Eric Greisen<br />
