Hello, <br>

I was running UVFIX on a dataset with two subarrays.<br>

The two subarrays come from running DBCON on one dataset from Dec '88

and the other from March '89, with the exact same pointing, of course.<br>

These VLA datasets are in 1950 coordinates and I wanted to convert them

to J2000.<br>

I used all the default adverb settings, except for UVFIXPRM(17)=1989.1,

so about in between these two observations.<br>

When I am imaging these, I can see that all compact sources are split

into two sources, a few beamwidths apart!<br>

Is that a consequence of running UVFIX with one value for UVFIXPRM(17)

for both subarrays?<br>

I was a bit confused by the comment in the helpfile: "<br>

<pre>0 => 1979.3 which is okay for"

        most <a href="http://www.aips.nrao.edu/cgi-bin/ZXHLP2.PL?VLA">VLA</a> data.

So I thought the exact value of UVFIXPRM(17) would not matter too much.
