to get aips working on a lustre mount, however we had to use local file
locking by mounting with -o localflock. This may cause issues for us,
the dc team can elaborate. We were wondering what the purpose of the
file locking is and if there is some way around it. As some added info
I'm including strace ouputs for aips when the data directory is on
local disk and when it is on the lustre fs (dc.out) without local file
locking.<br>
