I will try to be as specific as I can with what changes have occurred and what data I have. </DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>First off, I was running AIPS previously on a PowerPC Mac G5 desktop system. I was using an array of user numbers to differentiate among multiple projects. So, in my AIPS data area, I have a few thousand files with standard AIPS nomenclature (e.g., MAD01M001.1XL;, MAD00C001.1XG;, MAD001001.1XJ;, to name just a few files with different user numbers). All of these files were saved onto a portable disk & transported to my new institution.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>I now have a small cluster of Intel-based Mac systems, each with AIPS 31DEC07 successfully operating on it. I get error messages that look something like the following:</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV> MSGCOUNT IN FILE EXCEEDS MSG REC 0********</DIV><DIV> ZMSGDK: INVALID RECORD REQUEST = ******</DIV><DIV>MSGWRT ERROR 2 AT WRIT </DIV><DIV>AIPS 1: 31DEC07 AIPS:</DIV><DIV> MSGCOUNT IN FILE EXCEEDS MSG REC 0********</DIV><DIV> ZMSGDK: INVALID RECORD REQUEST = ******</DIV><DIV>MSGWRT ERROR 2 AT WRIT </DIV><DIV>AIPS 1: Copyright (C) 1995-2007 Associated Universities, Inc.</DIV><DIV> MSGCOUNT IN FILE EXCEEDS MSG REC 0********</DIV><DIV> ZMSGDK: INVALID RECORD REQUEST = ******</DIV><DIV>MSGWRT ERROR 2 AT WRIT </DIV><DIV>AIPS 1: AIPS comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY;</DIV><DIV> MSGCOUNT IN FILE EXCEEDS MSG REC 0********</DIV><DIV> ZMSGDK: INVALID RECORD REQUEST = ******</DIV><DIV>MSGWRT ERROR 2 AT WRIT </DIV><DIV>AIPS 1: for details, type HELP GNUGPL</DIV><DIV> MSGCOUNT IN FILE EXCEEDS MSG REC 0********</DIV><DIV> ZMSGDK: INVALID RECORD REQUEST = ******</DIV><DIV>MSGWRT ERROR 2 AT WRIT </DIV><DIV>AIPS 1: This is free software, and you are welcome to redistribute it</DIV><DIV> MSGCOUNT IN FILE EXCEEDS MSG REC 0********</DIV><DIV> ZMSGDK: INVALID RECORD REQUEST = ******</DIV><DIV>MSGWRT ERROR 2 AT WRIT </DIV><DIV>AIPS 1: under certain conditions; type EXPLAIN GNUGPL for details.</DIV><DIV> MSGCOUNT IN FILE EXCEEDS MSG REC 0********</DIV><DIV> ZMSGDK: INVALID RECORD REQUEST = ******</DIV><DIV>MSGWRT ERROR 2 AT WRIT </DIV><DIV>AIPS 1: Previous session command-line history recovered.</DIV><DIV> MSGCOUNT IN FILE EXCEEDS MSG REC 0********</DIV><DIV> ZMSGDK: INVALID RECORD REQUEST = ******</DIV><DIV>MSGWRT ERROR 2 AT WRIT </DIV><DIV>AIPS 1: TAB-key completions enabled, type HELP READLINE for details.</DIV><DIV> MSGCOUNT IN FILE EXCEEDS MSG REC 0********</DIV><DIV> ZMSGDK: INVALID RECORD REQUEST = ******</DIV><DIV>MSGWRT ERROR 2 AT WRIT </DIV><DIV>AIPS 1: ZFIO: OPER = READ LUN = 27 NREC = 29</DIV><DIV> MSGCOUNT IN FILE EXCEEDS MSG REC 0********</DIV><DIV> ZMSGDK: INVALID RECORD REQUEST = ******</DIV><DIV>MSGWRT ERROR 2 AT WRIT </DIV><DIV>AIPS 1: ZFI2: REQUEST FOR BYTES 28673 THRU = 29696 BEYOND EOF = 28672</DIV><DIV> MSGCOUNT IN FILE EXCEEDS MSG REC 0********</DIV><DIV> ZMSGDK: INVALID RECORD REQUEST = ******</DIV><DIV>MSGWRT ERROR 2 AT WRIT </DIV><DIV>AIPS 1: ZERROR: IN ZFI2 ERRNO = 22 (Invalid argument)</DIV><DIV> MSGCOUNT IN FILE EXCEEDS MSG REC 0********</DIV><DIV> ZMSGDK: INVALID RECORD REQUEST = ******</DIV><DIV>MSGWRT ERROR 2 AT WRIT </DIV><DIV>AIPS 1: UNABLE TO READ SAVE/GET FILE NAMED LASTEXIT.
