<HTML><BODY style="word-wrap: break-word; -khtml-nbsp-mode: space; -khtml-line-break: after-white-space; "><DIV>To the AIPS Group:</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>I have encountered a problem with IMAGR running on my Mac. Here is the history of the problem:</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV>I installed 31dec07 on my 2.16 GHz Core Duo MacBook Pro on jun 15.. It worked perfectly. In particular, with SCMAP and then IMAGR I was able to make large images from a full day VLA synthesis. On 6/21 I updated my OS from 10.4.9 to 10.4.10. AIPS seemed to continue to function perfectly. On 6/24 I installed Apple Security Update 2007-06. After that, IMAGR consistently failed, usually after about 1000 clean iterations, issuing the message "SOMETHING IS GOING WRONG - ABANDON CLEAN". The task continued, but the output was consistently erroneous. Visibility files that processed perfectly before the security update could no longer be processed successfully.<DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>On the other hand, the same data files processed perfectly on AIPS of the same date on my PPC G5 Mac, both before and after the system and security updates.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Have you encountered this problem?
