        In-Band versus Out-of-Band: Virtualization Offload Options<br>
Virtualization has garnered a lot of attention in the last few years.
However, one issue facing virtualization is the likelihood that it will
put a strain on existing servers. This concern has led to two schemes
for "offloading" some of the work associated with virtualization --
In-band (in the data path) and out-of-band (out of the data path)
management. This paper examines both in- and out- of band technologies
as well as current offerings available from the major vendors.
