We are please to announce that John Effland has accepted the position of
ALMA Band 6 Project manager effective 1 September 2003. John will be
responsible for the day to day supervision and reporting of all ALMA
Band 6 activities within the NRAO Charlottesville Technology Center.
John will report to both John Payne (Head of ALMA at the NRAO
Charlottesville Technology Center) and Charles Cunningham (ALMA
Front-End IPT lead).
 
The Band 6 project is both important and challenging. John brings the
right mix of enthusiasm and skill to organize and lead the effort into
full scale production. Please join us in congratulating John on this new
challenge.
